Match Report - Gadeside Rangers Reserves vs Dome Bar Rangers - 07/03/2010

Sunday 7 March 2010 - Watford Sunday Football League - Fourth Division
 Gadeside Rangers0

 Dome Bar Rangers1

at South Way

Gadeside went into the second game carrying tired legs from the first game and saw a change with Ashley Randall coming between the sticks and Marks moving out to Left Back. With Rojo carrying an injury the supply to the front two was minimal and Gadeside saw themselves defending for the majority of the half, only a breakaway from Ben Higginson whos drive was wide of the mark was the only chance of note. The second half continued in the same vein as Dome Bar pushed with their fresher legs and Gadeside dropped deeper and deeper trying to defend the point. A cleared corner from Matt Day was then driven in from the edge of the area, it managed to squirm its way through the legs of the stand in skipper before clipping the post and just creeping over the line despite the best efforts of Ashley Randall in goal. Gadeside had run out of steam by this point and in the end were slightly flattered by the scoreline. Rangers finished with 10 as Matt Day picked up an injury which meant he couldn’t carry on.
Manager Matt Day said, “I’m proud of the lads who turned out today and fought for the cause, we were well short of numbers but those who put the shirt on fought well for the full 2 hours” We only have 12 points left to play for now this season so lets make each game count.
