Sunday 25 March 2007 - Olympian Sunday Football League - Premier Division
 The Old Shepherd4

 Gadeside Rangers1
  Towle
at Baldwins Lane

A dismal first half display condemned Gadeside Rangers to a heavy defeat at Baldwins Lane as The Old Shepherd recorded their first victory of 2007. Despite taking an early lead through Shanton Towle, Gadeside were always second best and contributed to their own downfall with a series of defensive howlers.
Gadeside did get off to a good start when Shanton Towle pounced on a poor clearance and his strike was deflected past the home keeper. However the lead lasted just 5 minutes when the hosts equalised. Jon Evans was caught on the ball and a low cross was turned home by Mohr. It was soon 2-1 to the hosts when Bryron rose unchallenged to head home from a corner.
The hosts grabbed an excellent third goal on the stroke of half-time when - once again Gadeside gave away possession and the excellent O'Malley scored with a cool finish past Hufford. Gadeside started the second half in better fashion and should have pulled a goal back early on but Tariq Khan's toe-poke went just the wrong side of the post.
Gadeside enjoyed the majority of the possession but failed to create any clear cut chances. They should have been awarded a penalty when an Old Shep' defender clearly handled in the area but referee Reeder waved play on. Ivanz Mani was a threat down the right hand side but still Gadeside were unable to grab a goal back. With time running out, O'Malley wrapped up the game with a superb individual goal.
Gadeside were left to pick up the pieces of a woeful performance and look to rebuild ahead of next Sunday's cup final - where a repeat performance would be disasterous.
